Greetings from Montana! My name is Dean Petty, an independent broker working with Rocky Mountain Timberlands. I was raised in Oregon, a descendant of pioneers who moved West on the Oregon Trail, but over 10 years ago I moved east from Oregon and landed in Montana. The move has been great and our new home has proven to be a wonderful place to live, much like Oregon was when I was growing up.
THIS HELLO IS COMING FROM THE MOUNTAINS AND RANGE LANDS OF MONTANA! I AM A MIDWEST TRANSPLANT, BEEN OUT HERE FOR 19 YEARS NOW AND I GOTTA TELL YA, THE STARK BEAUTY OF LIVING IN "GOD’S" ENTIRE SPLENDOR CAN BE SPELL BOUNDING AT TIMES.
Jim Harris grew up in North Carolina enjoying and appreciating the outdoors in the Appalachian Mountains as well as the Carolina coastline. After attending Appalachian State for two years, Jim decided to move out west in 1992.
Looking for that ideal piece of property? At Rocky Mountain Timberlands we know there are a multitude of reasons people like yourself are looking for land, and this is why I look forward to connecting with you - to learn what your vision and desires are so we can start turning them into reality! Before we get too far, let me tell you a little about myself. I am originally from Southern California, but like to think of myself as a Montanan. I have lived in the area for the last 17 years and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. My love for nature and outdoor activities of ALL kinds makes this a perfect fit. Being in a place with so many different activities for each season has been a great way to spend quality time with my incredible wife and our two boys. As a family, we know how to have good times together, whether it is snowboarding, sledding, hiking, biking, camping, fishing, hunting, playing sports, floating to enjoying the wildlife and gorgeous scenery, or just relaxing at our house by the river. You can bet we are creating memories that will last a lifetime! Where else can you do almost any hobby, have all kinds of weather, be surrounded by some of the most magnificent wilderness and wildlife and not have all the people. . .there are not many places like this left other than the Rocky Mountain West. Another added bonus I have found, is the quality of people. Everyone I have talked to seems to agree with the fact that some of the best people they have ever met live around here. The Rocky Mountains must have some sort of draw when it comes to good people. I believe this is part of the reason my wife and I have decided to pick this region as the place for our dreams. One of the largest dreams we share is creating a retreat for children of all ages, from all over. Where they can come to learn about nature, wildlife, unique life skills and experience life in new ways they might not have had the chance to. Life is most fulfilling when we can actualize our dreams and help others do the same. With a back ground in team building, coaching, relationship marketing, personal and leadership development, I recognize that most of my life I have spent working with people helping them get more of what they want out of life, and I truly love doing it. I would like to do the same for you!
I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina splitting most of my time between the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and Low Country beaches of South Carolina. In 2004 I graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Political Science. Upon leaving Raleigh I moved to London, England for about 18 months to experience what Europe had to offer; I was quickly enamored with the European culture. However, I somehow knew that my true calling was in the Northern Rockies of Montana and Wyoming. I moved to Bozeman in 2007 to follow my passion of fishing, hunting, skiing and doing volunteer work for land conservation organizations. I fell in love with Montana and the myriad of outdoor activities that it has to offer. I am strongly devoted to finding each person a piece of property in the West that they can call their own. By doing this I plan to share my love of this vast land and hope that all clients and prospects have a chance to experience all that Montana and Wyoming have to offer. I look forward to helping you in your search for land in the Rocky Mountain West! I am licensed in MT, NC and SC.
